22 km from Boží Dar direction Ostrov - Boč - ChomutovA Gothic fortress that was extended and rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style into a chateau by the Buquoy family. After 1965 the castle has been abandoned. Nowadays Horní hrad is beeing stepwise renovated und it turns into a local culture centre offering a variety of unconventional leisure-time activities. The castle area is open to the public and culture programs are held here regularly.

December – February on weekends and holidays from 10:00 – 17:00 (or on demand); during the Czech spring holidays open daily from 10:00 – 17:00
